The Crypto.com App referral program allows new users to unlock up to US$50 worth of CRO (their native token) by completing specific onboarding milestones within their first 30 days of identity verification (KYC). The reward is split across three achievements: (1) You receive $10 in CRO after your first crypto trade of $100 or more, (2) An additional $15 in CRO when you make a cash fiat deposit of $50 or more and trade it for crypto, and (3) A $25 in CRO bonus once you lock up/stake enough CRO to reserve a Ruby Steel or higher metal Crypto.com Visa Card.

A major point of confusion for users is that the Crypto.com App and the Crypto.com Exchange are separate platforms with completely different referral structures. The App rewards are milestone and card-based (capping at $50 USD). Conversely, the Exchange referral program relies entirely on the amount of CRO you choose to stake on your first lockup, yielding anywhere from US$10 up to US$2,000 in CRO. Because they are separate systems, a code generated on the App will not track onto the Exchange unless the referrer has explicitly linked both of their accounts.

When downloading the mobile app, you must tap the "Have a Referral Code?" button on the initial splash screen before you enter your email or start registration. If you miss this window on the App, it is notoriously difficult to add retroactively and often requires opening a ticket with customer support to request a manual link. However, if you are signing up for the Crypto.com Exchange, the rules are much more forgiving: the platform officially gives you a 10-day grace period post-registration to log into your web dashboard, navigate to your referral settings, and manually paste in a code.
